Born in Senegal, dj Cisko started salsa djying in 1991 in Holland, and then moved to Belgium 10 years later. He one of the most experienced salsa dj's nowadays. His secret? This is his response:
"I play salsa from New York, Miami, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Africa (oh yes) or Colombia, and from Europe or even Japan, I play salsa that makes one willing to move (including myself behind the deejay boot)! I play salsa without time or space barriers. I play salsa as if I were in an endless journey through Time and Space. I play salsa for all, Black or White, Chinese or Latinos. I play salsa for Jewish, Muslims, Christians, Gays and Straights, Young and Elders people. I play salsa for Nowadays World Citizens… …. because I strongly believe that The Salsa World should inspire the World today! Imagine that! I must confess, I never plan or think of my sets hours before and I most of the time decide what the next song will be during the last 30 seconds of the current track. The only thing I am committed to is to listen to the dancers!"
Having already plugged his headphones on numbers of World's Salsa events, from Brussels to Dubai, Sofia, Bucharest, Paramaribo, Athens, Istanbul, Paris, and Amsterdam to name a few locations. he presents a radio show in Brussels called Noche Latina on Thursdays and Sunday nights
